According to the latest Kantar-Banque de France survey "Les Français et l'économie" 62% of French people cite climate change as a first-order global economic challenge. For the first time, this concern is clearly ahead of social inequalities, unemployment and poverty. How can economic policies respond to it?
For the second edition of its Eco-Notepad Competition, the Banque de France asks students resident in France to write a post on the theme "Economic policy to meet the challenge of climate change".
The two winning entries will be selected based on the rigour of their reasoning, the quality of their writing, their pedagogical value and the originality of the ideas presented. Writing in French is preferred but submissions in English will be accepted. The best post will be published on the Banque de France's website and will be awarded a prize of EUR 3,000 to be divided between its authors. The author(s) of the second winning post will share a prize of EUR 1,000.
Closing date for submissions: 15 June
